Human object for slewing

Featured Replies

We are all crazy about new scenery, but mostly we see it from the air, and don't really explore all the beautiful objects our enthusiastic designers have created. I love landing a plane, hitting W, and then slewing around to explore the scenery. I would love to do this with a simple figure, which doesn't need to be animated but, maybe a man or woman from Rwy 12 or similar, which I could move around in slew mode and spot view. I don't know whether any such object exists (of course you can drive a car around) or how to go about designing something to put in my Aircraft file.Any ideas or advice?Stan

There's BOB from OrbX for FSX. I haven't heard of one for FS9.But it doesn't seem very complicated, so maybe someome with good programming skills will come up with something like this. For now there are freeware cars you can use driving slowly or slow aircraft to hang around (I often do it with new sceneries). Active Camera also lets you walk but within limited space.

When I want to have a closer look around (and I often do), I do it from a 172 with crash detect off.

I find this a great time to fly an ultralight.Good views of the scenery, flys real slow, lands on a dime......with 4 cents change.regards,Joe

Thanks guys. Bob looks interesting, but you don't actually SEE the character. It's a much more sophisticated way of slewing actually - which is what I do when I want to "stroll" around some scenery. Pity its only for FSX.Stan

Wait for the payware version. Will have an outside appearance plus will swim, ride a bike and who knows what more. :( Still FSX only, I'm afraid.
