I just discovered the default (Cream and Red) Piper J3 Cub. It takes forever to get from here to there and needs to be babysat to maintain altitude especially in windy skys but really looks cool buzzing around in PNW.jja

There's a much better Cub J3 available from A2A simulations:A2A Piper Cub J3 It has won a number of awards.I fly it often, and it's very stable. It practically flies itself once you get up around 1500 to 2000 feet and get it trimmed. But yes, it's a great sight-seeing plane, esp for PNW, which is where I usually fly it.

I second that vote for the A2A Cub. If you buy it, make sure to buy the Accusim module, too - adds a terrific set of features and makes a big difference in the way the aircraft interacts with the environment. It's currently my ride of choice, as my sig suggests...Best,Alan

You're welcome. With the Accu-sim add-on that St Ex mentioned, I'd go so far as to say it was a masterpiece. It's my favorite plane to fly. It's like an old friend you have waiting at the airport for you :(

So for all you Piper J3 and PNW folks, lets have a multiplayer session! I am avail almost any evening (Pacific Time zone). Just PM me.

I would agree! What are your favorite Cub repaints? I like this interior (I found a link to it in this review: http://www.flightsim.com/main/review/a2acub.htm )The exterior is nice, too, but a little too clean for a bush plane, maybe:

The one I'm looking for is this U.S. Marines repaint that can be seen in this video, at about one minute in. Here's a 16 page thread full of Cub repaintsThe one I'm looking for may actually be in that thread, not sure, as I'm still going through it.
