March 29, 201016 yr Commercial Member I have started experiencing crashes and freezes, mostly referencing gdiplus.dll and g3d.dll. Someone has suggested a video driver issue. I have been using the 182.50 drivers for over a year now, ( with no issues ) has this recommendation changed? Is there a better driver? Please see specs below for rig and OS.Cheers, Mark

On my system the older drivers seem a bit more stable and also gave me roughly 5-10% better frame rates. It doesn't make sense other than the idea that FSX was designed on the older operating systems and the older drivers not using the PHYsX physics system, so maybe the older drivers are tuned to use more resources for straight rendering.JB Buzz313th

I recently tried the latest driver and had serious issues, so I went back to (the Vista) 182.50. In my case I could not get Nhancer to work right, and the only way back for me was a system restore because I had used Driver Sweeper. Even though I was able to install 182.50 on windows Win 7 before, it would not let do so again (said it was incompatible). I will really think long and hard before I try that any time soon. I don't know what to tell you man.Stephen
March 29, 201016 yr For my system, the latest Nvidia drivers (197.13) have seemed to cure many problems for me. I don't think there is a "perfect" driver set for everyone, it really all depends on the system. I think I remember seeing the G3D.dll error once but that was with older drivers at the time. March 29, 201016 yr 188.25 is by far the best stutter free high performance driver for NV cards you will ever find, though image quality takes a minor hit.As usual for non whql, you have to install them past the "not compatable" error measage, and If I recall you have to merge an info file before the install to get them to work, but its cake.
