March 30, 201016 yr Hi to all TEAM developers. I'd like to know, a bit more, about the hardware specification for a better running of the upcoming 737NGX. Not the mininum, but what do you suggests.I've got PMDG 737, my best add-on, on FS2004 and it works very smooth and fine on my hardware (see below signature). Thanks a lot, I hope the 737NGX will be released as soon as possible.Work hard, please!!! :( :( Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
March 30, 201016 yr I believe if you have a system that runs FSX well then you have enough for the NGX. Have you tried the JS41? They've mentioned that the design approach for the NGX will be similar to the JS41 (in this context). Dan Downs KCRP
March 31, 201016 yr Author Have you tried the JS41? They've mentioned that the design approach for the NGX will be similar to the JS41 (in this context).Hi Dan, no I don't have JS41. Have you got it? do you think it runs well on my hardware? I try to tune as much as better my FSX, but it has some noising microstutters and a little drop frames even if I set them to 30 fixed. March 31, 201016 yr Riccardo, yes I have the JS41 and I have both FS9 and FSX. The only reason I use FS9 is the 737NG; otherwise all my time is in FSX. Is your i7 920 a quad core? If so, we have very similar systems and I have no stutters in FSX and always fluid except around FSDT KORD (and I think I could tweak that to work better if I wanted to).I guess if you are not happy with FSX you should stick to FS9. I have one and I have no trouble with FSX, with PMDG aircraft and the usual scenery/weather/utility add-ons. Switching from Vista 64 to W7 64 actually helped my performance a great deal, so maybe Riccardo might improve performance with a switch as well. March 31, 201016 yr Geeze Doug, I've been putting off the move to W7 pending a few more billable hours per week. Don't tease me. Dan Downs KCRP
March 31, 201016 yr Geeze Doug, I've been putting off the move to W7 pending a few more billable hours per week. Don't tease me.Well, it isn't like I gained 60 FPS or anything like that, but its more stable, less latency, less random crashes, etc. As Ryan noted, some people have a screwy textrure problem, but I haven't noticed one.The one thing though: If you have to do a clean install (I did, because I switched to Professional from the Vista Home Premium version), its a royal PITA. Super time consuming. Doug Orvis PP-ASEL-IA (USA), Based at KHEF Picture courtesy of Kyle Rodgers
March 31, 201016 yr Author Thanks guys for your replay.I worked hard on FSX to improve its performance, but it's not comparable with FSX. FS9 runs more and more smoothly on my hardware. And, as Dan said, I play FS9 only for 737NG, no other aircrafts. So Dan, as you have an hardware similar to mine, can you post me (even in private message) your tweaks to improve FSX performance, or can someone suggest me some post where I can get good suggestions? Thanks a lot to you all. April 1, 201016 yr Author This is the most comprehensive guide there is ...http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041 Thanks a lot, I know it, and follow all NickN tweaks. But I experience annoying stutters. I know that set BUFFERPOOLS to a specific value would reduce stutters, but I can't find a correct value for my card (Nvida gtx 275 896MB). Someone who have my similar hardware could suggest me a probable value for it? Thanks in advance. April 1, 201016 yr I use a vanilla fsx.cfg, and stutters are rare. I've tried many different tweaks but it seems to work best in my case without them. Of course, milage varies among different drivers. Dan Downs KCRP

April 1, 201016 yr Turn fsx.cfg into fsx.bak and force FSX to create a new one when it starts. Vanilla as in unmodified. We have HC-130, AC-130, MC-130 and vanilla C-130's in USAF. Dan Downs KCRP
April 2, 201016 yr Riccardo,With your system specs you should be doing very well with FSX. If not something is very wrong. You might try to contact these people: www.fs-gs.com, they will guide you through the systemsetup and configuration for FSX, many people used their service and apparently with phenomenal results(they guarantee results).
