Reality XP navdata update

Featured Replies

In case you are a GNS430/530 WAAS user and hasn't seen it yet, it is possible to update the navdata in Garmin trainer to cycle 0910. The procedure is descibed here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=34067Basically what you do is download and install a Garmin trainer for a different (more recent) product, then copy some files from that over to the GNS430/530 trainer. It's a hack, really, but it works.Obstacles and terrain info is not updated so don't be surprised that those still read "2007" as the device boots up. Look for "Cycle 0910" on the "Worldwide Aviation Database" screen.

Thanks! It definitely works... have not found any changes as of yet... other than GPS approaches now called RNAV...I'll keep looking :(

Thank you, thank you, thank you!I almost missed this one. This works great and I can't thank you enough for posting this! It is nice to see some of the airports in my area whose identifiers changed a few years ago display correctly now.
