April 16, 201016 yr Actually checked mine and it's set to .850 but I also have and edited air file and cfg file.Mind you I haven't checked it in awhile but believe it was pretty accurate when I used it last. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
April 16, 201016 yr Author Actually checked mine and it's set to .850 but I also have and edited air file and cfg file.Mind you I haven't checked it in awhile but believe it was pretty accurate when I used it last. You using the PSS POSKY affirm? Does your merge do proper ILS approach because it seems you did alot of merging. I have your instructions on merging but ILS is wonky sometimes but works. Can you post your aircraft.cfg and send the .air file or something? How did you edit the air file? For me I just used the POSKY model and textures and copied the aircraft.cfg and air file from PSS folder and changed the fuel, contact points and lights on the aircraft.cfg, works so far, just not correct fuel flow. So can you give me the correct fuel_flow_scalar for my aircraft.
April 17, 201016 yr Author Anyone going to help? Geddy? Why is fuel flow extremely low on the merge but works fine with the original PSS plane even though the merge uses nearly the same aircraft.cfg and same air file? This is strange, I know many of you probably have the same problem
April 19, 201016 yr Actually my main merge for the 777 is with the SMS 777 not the POSKY and it has a fuel flow of .095Seems to run fine but haven't spent the time on fuel burns yet. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
April 19, 201016 yr Deltalpha,Will be making the FDE available soon, if you're still interested.;)I'm in :) Thanks for sharing
April 20, 201016 yr Author I guess I will be. Is it for the merge? Can the aircraft.cfg remain the same aye...All I changed in the mereg aircraft.cfg is...it is mainly the PSS aircraft.cfg but with POSKY contact points, lights, engines and fuel amount (777-200 is 206,000lbs -exactly copied the fuel section from POSKY aircraft.cfg) and the smokesystem (it is the POSKY Opensky_vortex, as for fuel dump this looks more real then the PSS one).Cheers, so if you do make it, it will perform so well for the merge aircraft.cfg aye, just have to replace the PSS one that's in the aircraft folder...Not to sure, but will this modified FDE help with ILS etc?Sorry went off topic, the FDE won't replace the .air file aye (what was i thinking!!!)? So this FDE is basically the aircraft.cfg for the merge? Will it have a .air file? Just wondering. Cheers anyway.
May 8, 201016 yr Author What speed should I intercept the ILS on with the POSKY PSS 772 merge so it won't be so hectic (climbing then descending to the alt that is set, - the turn always screws up the altitude, it won't turn properly, it loses alt then regains it but goes too high, then descends etc). This is at speed 140-150 flaps full. What speed and flap setting to intercept LOC without it turning so wrongly?
May 9, 201016 yr Anybody have thoughts on the old MelJet 777? Never tried it but I read a few reviews.

May 15, 201016 yr Author Have you tried Johan Dees' 777 FDE Mods?http://www.jdserver.mine.nu/johan/ Thats something new! Will have a look! Is it for the merge? What part of the aircraft.cfg controls ILS and LOC? Does the ILS and LOC have anything to do with the .air file?
May 15, 201016 yr Author The ILS intercept is good with his FDE but when it intercepts and is aligned with the runway it starts going left right left right...etc. Maybe because i used it for the merge? The merge aircraft.cfg is basically the PSS aircraft.cfg but with POSKY contact points, flightsim.0, lights and smokesystem. So i thought putting in these upgrades would improve the plane. But what part of the aircraft.cfg > autopilot, controls the ILS interception? Ive got the SDK and am trying to figure it out. Here is the PSS autopilot section [autopilot]autopilot_available=1 flight_director_available=1 default_vertical_speed=1800.0 autothrottle_available=1 autothrottle_arming_required= 1autothrottle_max_rpm = 108.5autothrottle_takeoff_ga= 1pitch_takeoff_ga=8 ;max_pitch=10.0max_pitch_acceleration=1.0max_pitch_velocity_lo_alt=0.7max_pitch_velocity_hi_alt=0.4max_pitch_velocity_lo_alt_breakpoint=11000.0max_pitch_velocity_hi_alt_breakpoint=25000.0max_bank=25.0max_bank_acceleration=1.4max_bank_velocity=2.8max_throttle_rate=0.08nav_proportional_control=11.00nav_integrator_control=0.17nav_derivative_control=0.00nav_integrator_boundary=2.50nav_derivative_boundary=0.00gs_proportional_control=22.0gs_integrator_control=0.530gs_derivative_control=0.02gs_integrator_boundary=0.70gs_derivative_boundary=0.00yaw_damper_gain = 1.0Do the nav_... and gs_... things have impact on ILS? What should the values be? Would the values from this thread improve the ILS for the merge: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...=NAV+Glideslope?Cheers, please can you give me feedback.
June 5, 201015 yr Author Does "title" in[fltsim.0]title=Boeing 777-200 - PW4074 - United Airlinesmatter? Does it have anything to do with the programming of the PSS to work properly???Why do some forums say it has to be like this:[fltsim.0]title=PSS 777-200 - PW4074 - United Airlinesetc etc etc?
June 5, 201015 yr I don't think that it matters what that line actually says, as long as it's different from any other title= reference in FS, including AI. This is one of the mechanisms that FS uses to differentiate one plane from another and should have nothing to do with the PSS - or any other - programming.;)
