I would imagine so, but you can always uninstall SP2 (via the Control Panel) and install Acceleration.

Acceleration contains a different version of SP2, so you can have one or the other: not both. Uninstall whichever one you have installed first, reboot - then install the one you want.

I studied these three links, but I found no answer to the question "Which SP2 version is better?". Better in terms of FPS and smooth operation of the simulation.

Since Acceleration was released months after SP2, one might reasonably assume that the later released package is "better..."
