Anyone using "Shoot" Voice Recognition program?

Featured Replies

I was cleaning my download file today and came across a program named Shoot Voice Recognition Software v1.6.4 and installed it on my Vista64 system. Unfortunately I cannot get it to run as I receive an error. The fix is to install .NET v1.1 but doesn't Vista already have .NET 3.5?So my question is, can I install .NET 1.1 safely as I am afraid that it would mess my FSX installation up including all addons and secondly if anyone is using this piece of software is it worth the time and effort to run it? If there are are more up to date programs with an FSX profile I would be interested in looking at it, I would even consider purchasing a program. Thanks,

HelloI use it on both XP64 and Win7 64 to control Radar Contact and proflight Emulator, works very wellI did need to install Dotnet 1.1 on Win 7 but that is not a problem as these library's whilst backwards compatible to some degree can also live happily side by side, I have all of them installed 1.1 2.0 3.0 3.5 without problem. You will also need the very nice profile editor available from a link on the shoot site unless you enjoy hand coding XML

I too use Shoot with 64-bit Windows 7 and it works very well. The editor is also easy to use.

Thanks for the info fellas, had no idea about the editor. I'll give it a go when I have a little time this week.
