Intel I7 6700 4.0 CPU Western Digital Caviar 1TB SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive  16GB DDR4 Crucial RAM. Corsair 750 Watt PSU.

EVGA NVIDIA GTX1080 FTW GPU

Start with an Intel i7-980X (Gulftown) hexacore CPU. Will set you back by a grand, but you said money was no object.Cheers,- jahman.

980X, GTX480, 6GB-2000Mhz DDR3, 2x decent SSDs, Mobo like mine or eVGA X58, decent cooling (I suggest water) for a decent OC (4,2Ghz+) on the 980X + BP=0 with full IQ... and you are set.

If money is no object, see my sig.

How are those 2x 5970s working for you in crossfire with FSX. Any actual benefit to running 4 gpu cores versus just using 5970s out of crossfire?

If money is no object, see my sig.

My suggestion:Mobo= Asus Rampage III Extreme for best efficiency (eVGA Boards are good overclocker, but efficiency is not so good)CPU= i7 980XVGA= GTX480 (no ATI for FSX if you like realistic clouds and water! I had a 5870!)Memory= Corsair or Mushkin with min. 1600MHz @ the lowest latency you can find2x Intel SSD 160GB for OS and FSX (not only look for the highest transfer rate!)Case = good airflow is a must, I prefer Lian LiSoundcard= Creative Labs PCIePower supply= min. 850 watt with 85+ CertificateFly, but fly smooth :(

There is no benefit from the 2 5970's in FSX, but in other games that support multi gpu, such as CoD:MW2, the results are amazing. I'm actually planning on changing to the GTX 480 fermi, and selling my 5970's.

Hey Chris493,Couple of questions re your setup regarding your dual 5970's1. Can you run FS in "eyefinity" mode across your 3 monitors with the two cards running but not using crossfire mode?2. Can you break out separate cockpit views (separate windows), across the the 3 monitors using both boards but again, not in crossfire mode? Your setup is similar to my plan but wanting to find out if I can use two cards for 3-4 monitors... see if it will help lessen the load any?thx,Clutch

Hi,I've never tried any of the above, but I will see what I can do for you.
