April 28, 201016 yr Has anyone purchased this already?I tried the free demo at several Belgian airports, and it looks great. At Brussels (the largest airport in Belgium) there is a slight drop in FPS if I add 3D taxiway lights (but then there are thousands of them there). I do not lose any FPS if I just add lit aprons and improved taxiway lines. I am using FSX on an Athlon X2 dual-core CPU in the DX9 mode.Their lit aprons look amazing at night, but are a little too bright at dawn for my taste. But still way better than having pitch black tarmac in front of well-lit buildings. But I am wondering about the frame rate impact at really large airports like KORD or KATL before purchasing. Wish they would have chosen the USA for the free demo area instead of Belgium :( Can anyone help? Thanks!
April 28, 201016 yr Bought it yesterday--does a really wonderful job with runway and taxiway lighting. The spot lights are good though I would have like to see an easier way to place them rather than guess work. Overall I'm pretty happy with it and the runway/taxiway lighting made it worth it. I was hoping I would be able to fix my broken ImagineSim night runway lights but unfortunately it did not help those situations. Jim Atkins

May 24, 201016 yr How does this compare to Ultimate Airport Environment X? Are those two product for the same thing or are they compatible?I'm not familiar with UAE X and am too lazy to look it up, but what Airport Wizard does is redraw lines in an airport, add taxi light objects and offer lighting that can be placed as desired. As someone who has made a few airport modification, I can attest that no matter how hard I try it's near impossible to get a smooth curve drawn. FSX makes the drawing from node to node or draws it's version of a curve over long spans. AW replaces the blockiness with something more visually satisfactory. The product allows you to see the results on airports in Belguim prior to purchasing. If you like it, you can buy it. If you don't, run the uninstall and lose nothing.
May 24, 201016 yr Hi,Well, I went and purchased Airport Wizard and I must say I'm impressed with the results. This utility is very easy to use and the enhancements it brings to FSX airports are nice. I'm glad I purchased the utility and I have no problems recommending this utility to others.All-In-All a nice utility!
