May 5, 201016 yr RC4 and my weather engine ASE (Active Sky Evolution) are often not even close on altimeter settings.ASE is always correct...its setting give correct field elevation.RC4 is picking up something else... So if I fly ASE settings, RC4 says I have busted my altitude. Is there any way to get RC4 to give ASE altimeter settings? Thanks, zach Digital Storm, Win 7 64-bit, Intel i5 4690k (OC 4.5 GHz), ASRock Z97, FSX Gold, two Dell monitors, 1x Samsung 500GB DDR, PC 8GB DDR3 (1866), RC4, DX10 Fixer,nVidia Inspector tuned by FSX DX10 "How To" Guide, nVidia GeForce GTX 970 (4GB),Opus, GEX, UTX, UT2, REX (4, Soft, Airports) FS Global 2008, PMDG JS41 & 737NGX, 750W Corsair
May 5, 201016 yr RC gets altimeter readings from FS itself.First, be sure you are not talking about the case of above the Transition Altitude, different for various areas, where the standard altitude (29.92 in or 1013 mb.) is used. To see the surface pressure in FS do - ctrl-Z until it is displayed in the FS window. That is what should be returned to RC.It would not hurt to make sure your version of FSUIPC is current as listed at:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlI would also insure that you have the latest ASE service pack installed. Here is there support forum:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showforum=171I think it is SP1.

May 5, 201016 yr I run RC with ASE. No problem with QNH. The biggest difference that I have seen was something like 1007 instead of 1008 - close enough for me. Tom Link
