May 10, 201016 yr Does anyone know if you can decide whether to put military traffic using My Traffic 2010? I am thinking of getting it, but that has been the only problem i was thinking of.
May 10, 201016 yr It will put military traffic at every airport that has mil combat and mil cargo parking spaces assigned. You would be better off getting MTX 5.2b Pro, that is what I have and it is cheaper than MTX 2010 from Aerosoft. 5.2b Pro and 2010 are by the same author. 5.2b is more powerful and you get suport directly from the author, 2010 support goes through Aerosoft and is not as good.http://secure.simmarket.com/b.-renk-mytraffic-x-pro.phtmlWith 5.2b you can make any mil traffic you want. If there is an AP that you do not want it at then you can use ADEX (freeware) to modify the parking spaces to take the mil spaces out or you can add mil spaces in.Rod
May 10, 201016 yr HelloDefiantly get MTX 5.2b Pro instead of MTX 2010 better support and a better, more comprehensive package
May 23, 201016 yr HelloDefiantly get MTX 5.2b Pro instead of MTX 2010 better support and a better, more comprehensive packageWhat about Traffic X or Ultimate Traffic 2 as alternatives? They all offer something different of course but which is 'best'?! I was using Traffic 95 in FS9 which was OK but frustrated by (1) no traffic at all at minor airports (the occasional GA flight might have been nice) and (2) when starting a new flight even at major airports it would take a while for traffic to generate. I sit on the tarmac for some minutes just waiting for traffic to generate to make the airport environment more realistic. Are things better in all these more recent traffic packages.I quite like the extra tools (tower view etc.) in Traffic X and the package seems polished but is it a bit lightweight in the core traffic generation areas compared to MyTraffic X 5.2b Pro? Any thoughts on which traffic package to get for FSX would be appreciated. I've read the reviews and now I am more confused!Regards,Brett
May 24, 201016 yr All I have ever had is MyTrafficX for FSX and now v5.3 is out. As soon as FSX fires up and your plane is on the ground the airport is populated. I was at KEWR yesterday and was just thinking about how many planes there were on the ground and in the air, I only have my traffic density set at 30% for commerical and GA. Even small airports have a plane or two. If you want more you can make your own flights planes to generate more or change the setting on the airport to generate more. All of this will require that you have SDK installed if you have not installed it already.I have never regretted my decision to go with MTX rather than one of the others.

I am in Australia and doing most of my flying here -- any idea what the traffic coverage is like down under? The advertising for MyTraffic talks about upgrading 2,000 airports to provide the necessary parking - does the documentation cover where those airports are? And if you buy custom airports I assume any of these traffic programs will use the correct stands.Sorry for all the questions - I do appreciate the help.Any other experiences out there comparing the different Traffic programs?Regards, Brett
May 25, 201016 yr if you are just concerned about australia, you should check out the http://fullterrain.com/freeware.html and the FTX AI program. however i am not sure what the coverage is for military airplanes.

May 27, 201016 yr if you are just concerned about australia, you should check out the http://fullterrain.com/freeware.html and the FTX AI program. however i am not sure what the coverage is for military airplanes. Thanks for the tip. I didn't realise that was in the Orbx site. I do have FTX Australia for FSX (started buying it area by area from when it was released) but have had to spend most of my time flying FS9 as my current PC is a little old (Pentium 4 3.2Ghz HT) and struggles with FSX. I am in the process of building a new PC (Core i5 750) bit by bit and want to make sure I am prepared with the right addons for when FSX is up and running on the new PC. I might give the FTX Traffic a run for a while (it's freeware!) until I decide on a commercial Traffic addon.thanks again.
