What does the autotaxi gauge do?

I gave that a test last night. It turns the taxi light off after take off, but it did not turn it back on appon landing. Is that the way it supposed to work? Maybe it's supposed to turn it on too.flya150

Actually, as noted above, it is an interlocking switch that turns off the Taxi Lightwhen the gear is retracted. Given that this light is mounted on the front gear strut,it makes sense that it gets switched off when the strut gets pulled into the wheel well :(
