since rc decides what runway to use, when you contact approach, after i scan the ai to determine what they are doing, the short answer is no.if there was only 1 runway, you could guess after you got the weather at the arrival airport, assuming the weather doesn't change, and the ai behave appropriatelyif there are no ai, you could guess, based on the weather, assuming the weather doesn't changeyou could choose your arrival runway before starting rc, but then you risk landing on a runway that the ai are using for takeoffs.sorry. there's no good answer.jd

JD, Absolutely no problem. Radar Contact is by far the best product I have ever purchased for FS9 so little niggles like this don't really bother me.The only question is, as i'm new to SIDs/STARs how I can I plan ahead for these? Do I prepare every STAR for every runway in the arrival airport and then select and program the one I want when ATC announce my runway? What goes on in this instance? Many thanks sir, and many thanks for the hours of enjoyment your product has given me.

Many runway specific STARS have common waypoints based on arrival direction. Include those common waypoints in your plan for RC. When approach contacts you you can:1. Take vectors.2. After acking approach request an IAP to the suggested runway or the runway you want. This will let you do your own NAV without RC monitoring until you are on close final. All you will get is the intercept altitude.
