May 20, 201016 yr Commercial Member The issue with the Win7 defrag tool is that it doesn't place files in any logical order. While the performance benefit from doing this is small, it does give you faster boot and start up times and it can help eliminate microstutters in FSX because the terrain tiles are actually arranged close to each other on the HD.
