Hi i'm wondering about buying radar contact but i've some question before buy it.1) Does radar contact show atc messages with text and voice as fsx atc? Is important for me because i'm not english native so only voice it wuold be a bit complicate.2) If i buy now i've some discount for next release ?3) Does radar contact control also AI traffic ?4) Is compatible with external wheather program like Active sky Evolution5) There's any problem if i have installed aerosoft airports ?Thank you i wish i could use this wonderful program

If you run FS on a networked system and RC is on a client, then you can see text using the show text utility from the FSUIPC utility. The next version will show the command information in the FSUIPC window.2) If i buy now i've some discount for next release ?-----------Typically there is a discount given to prior version users. I don't know the amount and probably prices will not be set until near the release date which is several months off. If for RC5 updates are issued for example to RC5.1 there will be no charge according to current policy. 3) Does radar contact control also AI traffic ?-----------The current version 4 freezes ground AI when you are about four miles out from landing and have switched to tower frequency. This prevents runway incursions. RC4 attempts to slow traffic behind you when you are landing. In most directions enroute RC4 will divert AI around you in most cases. In this version there is no taxiing ground protection. All other AI operations are controlled by FS.4) Is compatible with external weather program like Active sky Evolution------------RC reads the weather directly from FS as passed by FSUIPC. Some users have experienced performance problems and FSUIPC when using ASE due to the load on the computer. After service packs were issued for ASA there were no problems. There was a service pack due for ASE. Search fsuipc_wait on this forum and D008 to get those messages.5) There's any problem if i have installed aerosoft airports ?------------I have several FS9 Aerosoft published sceneries. Most were bought in the regional suites. Make sure you update after RC installation to the current version of makerwys.exe link at the forum top. This solved some scenery priority issues. That version is under the FS9 section but is used in FSX as well. The link is covered in a topic at this forum head. You should also update FSUIPC from that page as well after installation. Each time you install new airport scenery or a makerwys update be sure from within RC to run the scenery update utility. not sure what you're asking. you can choose your gate. you're not going to get turn by turn directions to the runway. you also won't get "taxi bravo.charlie.echo...."you can download the manual, and see what radar contact can do. www.jdtllc.com/v4/rcv43.pdfjd

What about prior to takeoff?I'm just about to take the plunge and buy RC4... one more thing.. are there any good addons with airport charts (to help you find the runway.. without printing airport charts,..) that work in fullscreen mode (like gauges or pop-ups or something)? So I can sit in VC and look at it.

it means it freezes the ai, so they don't taxi on to the runway with you on final. otherwise ai are moving around as they should.

There is a gauge that will give you an airport view of some kind made by a company called DBS.http://www.dbsim.com/aptgps/dbs.aptgps.htmThere is a version for FS9 and FSX. I do not see taxiway IDs but it does apparently draw a path for you. One caution is to be sure whatever program you get that it gets its data from your installed scenery and it appears from that page it does.If you have a dual monitor setup you could have FS in one window and another program in the other. Check out the names FS Flight Keeper and FS Commander. Flight Keeper from its screenshots looks like it shows AI as well as your aircraft. It is a flight record system, not a planning system as such. FS Commander is planning pre-flight and in flight as far as I know.For FS9 only if you have the second monitor you can use the freeware AFCAD 2.21 Airport editor in a second window. After you engage the "lock" button the airport diagram will show you. Similarly the freeware (and safer for editing) ADE9X for both FSs had a lock button to show your aircraft location. I have not tried that feature.http://www.fscommander.com/ and you may need to purchase a full registration for FSUIPC according to its specifications. For its flight planning feature you may wish to subscribe to the Navigraph database to update its aviation information for its SID/STAR/Approach database.
