Error with Unistalling/ Reinstalling PMDG 11 for FS9

Featured Replies

I have a serious problem with my PMDG MD11. I have had it for several months and had no problems, but now, I can not uninstall it, by that I mean that I have uninstalled it, but the liveries still show up in my Aircraft folder in FS9, as well as the actually aircraft select menu in the actual game. This is a problem, because it says that I have fully uninstalled it, should I uninstall FS9? Is their something else that does not cause that me to go to the length, or is that what I have to do? Assistance in the this matter would greatly be appreciated

i also have same problem and more as i tried to delete aircraft manually from add/remove programs listand now after reinstalling md11 can only get pmdg default aircraft no amount of trying to reinstall liveriesseems to work.hope someone can help!graeme crawford

Graeme, try the windows control panel remove programs. If the liveries are still there you should run the uninstall before installing the aircraft. Not well documented, but always uninstall liveries before aircraft. Install aircraft before liveries. The aircraft config file can get out of "sync" with registry entries otherwise.

Is there a way to uninstall every livery at once? (I hope I don't have to run 30 uninstallers hehe).

Hi K.S. Full names are required in this forum please (not just initials) thanks.Yes you need to uninstall each. You need to understand that an installer was created for the liveries to avoid hassle from people that don't know how to add them theirselves.I backup my entire Aircraft folder so after I install a new OS and/or reinstall FSX I just plop it in place. Then there's no sign of anything to uninstall in the control panel. You could just install all the liveries you want, then make a backup of your PMDG aircraft folders, then go through add/remove programs and uninstall them all, and then finally just replace the folders you have backed up. That is of course if you just want to neaten up your program list.Hope this helps,
