This is extremely dissappointing to set up a complete flight, try to change the RW for landing and end up with the FMC forcing a CTD. If you can tell I am Very unhappy, you are right. A bit more settled after the CTD and am attempting the same flight to see if I can replicate the CTD however, this has happened several times when attempting to make changes to the arrival procedures. I hope there have been others that may have experienced such occurance that can give me some guidance for a remedy.ThanksJoe Porter

It was reported earlier.This issue occurs when you attempt select a RW in the FMC with no Flight Plan destination.The workaround for now is to ensure you always have a Flight Plan loaded in the FMS with at least a departure, and destination waypoint.Its slated to be addressed for SP2 (If there is an SP2).Regards.Ernie.

Besides, this FMS is not certified for approach use so realistically your runway change need not involve the FMS. Agree that CTDs should not happen on any user input but that's where we are.

Alright, this deserves to get fixed! AGAIN on a turn and had to change the FP in flight (destination change and yes a "full flight plan was being entered) and CTD trying to change the airport and arrival. This is a bug and it better get someone's attention. If you build a high quality sim, complete it with everything working as advertised. I am a RW turbo pilot and train on this. I would appreciate a response more than; it happens in RW and "not certified for approach". There is a BUG in the FMS, needs to be fixed!Joe Porter

Well PMDG, the professional aircraft programmer, your AC came off my hardware tonight, enough of a "beautiful" sim that has two significant CTD problems, this and you can not get this AC anywhere near a gate (jetway) without it locking the main door shut. I have worked with our developers of our ACARS program and thought we identified it by disabling the gate interaction thru our software. Well PMDG, the problem is yours, YOU CAN NOT get this AC anywhere near a jetway or you go into the business of uninstalling and re-installing everything and this customer is tired of it!I am extremely disappointed in such a great piece of software with two glaring problems, which get no attention, or it at least appears so.Joe Porter

Joe-It appears that you are more interested in throwing a tantrum than seeking a resolution, so you should not anticipate much help from any of us.If you had taken a few moments to read the comments from other helpful and informed individuals in this thread, you would have noted that the problem has been previously identified and confirmed by us.Whilst we do make an effort to keep customers generally informed as to the what/where/when/how of upcoming product updates, it is clear that not having a developer here to respond immediately to your needs was an error on our part.I will discuss with the development team which one of them should be removed from their duties working on the JS4100 SP, the 737NGX and the 777 in order to provide you with service more suited to your needs.
