June 23, 201015 yr I fly out of a small airport and wanted more practice based on a small airport. What is the best software out there that gives a better ATC experience for the pilot (patterns, approach, VFR, IFR, etc.) ?
June 23, 201015 yr Basically you only have two choices: Radar Contact or VOXATC. Both have separate forums here on Avsim. If you insist on VFR this may further limit your choices, you may investigate further, because unless I am mistaken RC doesn't do VFR and not sure about VOXATC either. Since there are only 2 choices I suggest you visit both forums and find out details, VOXATC offers free trial version. Michael J.
June 23, 201015 yr Depends on where in the world you are. Vox ATC is generally a better choice for UK flyers wanting to do light aircraft stuff.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 23, 201015 yr Any thoughts about SuperATC ?I suggest you simply read the stuff in front of you. This program doesn't add any ATC features - it simply translates your speech to menu selections. Michael J.
June 23, 201015 yr Any thoughts about SuperATC ?http://www.superatc.com/ SuperATC is an interface between your voice on mic with FS default ATC. It's fun but does not replace MS FS ATC. Radar contact will replace and change all your ATC experience and is compatible with SuperATC (Its your plane)..I've only seen demos of VoX-ATC, it should be fine with VFR flying.RV See U in the cloud(s) Galleries @FlyEM Flying Ideas
June 24, 201015 yr Wooooo, Haven't played FSX for like 4 months now and haven't been on the forums for over a month now!! You really miss a lot.Anyway, I know you asked for software ATC, but if you want a good ATC experience try VATSIM or IVAO. VATSIM allows you to speak to controllers or you can even use text. It is a great experience that is lots of fun and you learn a lot everytime you fly on the networks.
