Too many USB devices?

Featured Replies

Hi again,As I use GF Airliner Set, X52pro, Saitek's Yoke, TrackIR, Th2Go and Keyboard+Mouse I have plenty USB devices. GF uses two powered USB hubs. I have added one Belkin powered USB hub because it was too much. It was working flawless for a year or so.From few days, I do have problem - one or two devices does not get recognized. It is strange, because I have not added any USB device nor change the existing ones.It occurs on boot (then unplug/plug again helps) and when turning Autopilot On (this has the most LCD displays so I assume it has the most power requirements) - which means no more flying and christmas tree on some of the USB devices, occasionally BSOD.I am considering buying two PCI to USB controllers and replace Belkin hub. Would it help? Do You have other suggestions?

Most probably yes, Belkins powered USB hubs are generally shitE, my last one would completely take down my ADSL internet connection with interference when I plugged the power cable to it.

Cheers, Andy.

HelloDownload Usbdeview from http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.htmlUse this to delete your usb stack and it will rebuild when you reboot, you will be surprised at how many USB devices your system thinks it has installed, they do not always dissapear properly from the USB stack when unplugged.I find that recent belkin USB 2 hubs are problematical with my Goflight units, I only use USB 1.1 hubs for my units now.Stay well away from Belkin Tetrahubs (1.1 and 2.0 combined) hubs as they are a nightmare with Goflight stuff.

Thanks a lot. Now, instead of 131 drivers I have ~30. I also insert 4xUSB PCI card, but still the same :/ Autopilot and Yoke has to be replugged every power cycle.

Case closed. It was a failure of one of the GF hub power adapter. Now I know why the fuse have been replaced recently :)It was no Belkin's fault.
