June 27, 201015 yr I'm flying the CLS 767 and noticed that Quality Wings has a 757. Looking at the cockpit of the QW 757, it looks almost identical to the cockpit of the CLS 767. The 767 may have more range than the 757, and the QW 757 way have a few more buttons to set than the CLS 767, are there any significant differences between the two?Tony

June 27, 201015 yr Commercial Member The QW 757 is much more in depth then the CLS 767, it's not close. There are differences such as the 767 having a fuel dumping system, and the EICAS system. On the 757 both RR and PW engine variants read out in EPR and not N1 fan speed like GE.For example the LDS 767 is based off a GE CF6 version as the EICAS does not use EPR but N1, the PW and RR powered 767s have the same EICAS like the 757.I also believe the 767s throttle quadrant is slightly different than the 57. Take a look at this EICAS comparison of an RR and PW 757. You'll notice that the EPR ref and fan speed is notably higher on the RB211 then the PW2000.
June 27, 201015 yr Then what made the RB211 engines far more efficient?Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the CLS 767 wasn't even as realistic as the QW 757. But it does make a great alternative to the LDS and Overland models, the LDS only had one model, and the Overland model was far too powerful when taking off. June 27, 201015 yr 757 - is a mid-size, narroow-body (meaning single isle) aircraft that can carry between 186 and 279 passengers, and have a maximum range of 3,100 to 3,900 nautical miles (5,900 to 7,200 km) depending on variant and seating configuration.(source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_757)767 - is a mid-size, wide-body (meaning double isle) twinjet airliner that can carry between 181 and 375 passengers, and have a range of 5,200 to 6,590 nautical miles depending on variant and seating configuration.(source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_767)note the range and already discussed weight differences. the 767 is a long range aircraft where the 757 is a medium range bird. the passenger numbers have a wide overlap. 757 and 767 were in parallel development. 767 first flight in 1981 and the 757 in 1982. the two aircraft were designed to be 'compatible' to maintain. pilots can easily 'cross certify' as the cockpits (as already discussed) are almost identical.-- D.
