August 29, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member Somebody around suggested the *******-tweak. That's a gain in performance in 90% of all cases and really worth a try.Unfortunately, for me, it wasn't a huge gain - I added it to my FSX.cfg in mid-July along with the shaders mod. I get graphics spikes once in a while and a handful of FPS increase, but I have left it in there.I'm still firmly against the overclocking route; for me, it's just not worth the risk of damage to my computer/processor (I hate even doing anything in the BIOS menu to begin with). Looks like my next step here may to be upgrade the video card since I'm running out of ideas (throwing more money at my system and watching that counter in my signature go up =P). My problem is I need a GPU for other programs which is why I went with ATI to begin with; its advantages with other programs instead of just FS. Also, experimenting with the advantages (if any) of using GameBooster to close unseen/unnecessary processes. I'm also starting to research alternative video cards since I've seemed to be close to exhausting most tweak-related options vs. hardware settings or hardware itself. October 4, 201015 yr Morning, Captain. Are you already running bojote's shader 3.0 mod for FSX which is easy to do and especially helps the ATI cards in cloudy conditions? Worth a try.Nice scenery by the way, this FSDT one.
