July 4, 201015 yr I know this subject has been discussed in the past and I have avoided installing Adobe Air in the computer I use for slimming. However Firefox and other apps are constantly telling me to update and I was wondering if the original problems that occured with Adobe Air are still valid or is it deemed safe to now go ahead with the install. If I decide to proceed and problems occur I won't blame anyone for their advice so please feel free to reply. Oh, and Happy 4th of July to all in the U.S. Echofox U.K.

Oh, and Happy 4th of July to all in the U.S. Echofox U.K.Installing Adobe Air merely associates .air files with an Adobe application and does not change the files themselves. FS .air files still continue to work. It always was save to intall Adobe Air. If need be, you can remove the association by using Windows Explorer Tools|Folder Options|File Types. Gerry Howard

Oh, and Happy 4th of July to all in the U.S. Echofox U.K. I removed Adobe Air could see no use for having it. There were issues with Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader, those have been updated to solve issues.
July 4, 201015 yr Never understood what the big fuss is all about. As mgh rightly points out, it's a file type association issue, nothing more, nothing less.the bigger issue was the 'FS FDE file' .air file icon changed. people saw this and clicked this and adobe attempted to open the file. the 'corrupted' message appeared and all panic :( :( for a small group of FS'ers the issue was the .air file no longer opened directly with their FDE editor, but with adobe and the resulting 'corrupted' message. again all panic :( B) in the end the concern was a 'non-issue' as already stated. FS doesn't care if adobe 'air' is associated as FS can read the .air file just fine.-- D. Scobie, feelThere support forum moderator: https://forum.simflight.com/forum/169-feelthere-support-forums/
