Hello to all!I recently found out that the Digital Aviation CRJ-700 for FS9 was turned into a FSX only product when Aerosoft took over the project. Does anyone have any idea if there may be a new FS9 Crj Series on the horizon? I know Feelthere still supports the FS9 platform and thought maybe someone here may have some info for us?Thanks Guys,MajicMike

If you don't mind freeware, there's an excellent Project Opensky CRJ-700 model to be had at their website (www.projectopensky.com). You'll need to add panel and sounds, but there are some to be found.;)

Although Wilco did just update their ERJ line, to tell you the truth, I highly doubt we'll see another CRJ release strictly for FS9. I think the Aerosoft move with DA's CRJ was a bit of a harbinger; developers simply don't want to build for a 6-year-old platform anymore. Support, as you mentioned, though, is another matter.

I've asked Vic to consider an update to their CRJ series and since a revised 737-300 series is in talks I'm very hopeful we'll see a new CRJ from them down the road for both FS9 and FSX. :(

I do hope Feelthere gets to update their CRJs. It would be great to see them at least at the same level as their ERJ and E-jets. I'm also looking forward to the DA CRJ7 since it seems it will be a complete simulation. Dave Vega

Thanks guys, microlight, i do use the POSKY CRJ as it a spectacular model! It merged well with the -200 series panel from Wilco but I still haven't gotten it right with the -700 series yet. If anyone knows how to handle that merge that would be great!Heres keeping our fingers crossed that an updated Feelthere CRJ for FS9 comes along!MajicMike

It's pretty much impossible to merge the two. The POSKY model has a very unrealistic centre of gravity, which severely interferes with the Wilco/FT panel. FWIW, my merge settings for the CRJ-700 are below. This is a very unrealistic merge, you'll have trouble making a smooth take-off (it'll blast into the air like a space shuttle), but once in the air, it starts behaving somewhat similarly to the Wilco/FT bird. It uses the FT air file. Thanks Mack. Are you using the Wilco CRJ-700 .air file and panel with this merge? Ive tried to do it and I cannot get the FADEC system to work at all. I remember reading somewhere that the way the Feelthere .air file was set up was for four engines instead of two to accurately potray the FADEC but its been so long I cant remember. It'd be nice to figure that one out for sure..MajicMike

Yes, I am, but I haven't had any throttle problems, FADEC works fine here.
