Managing Addons

Featured Replies

Is there a specific order that I should have my addons on the add-on list? Is there a difference if I put UTX above Megascenery SoCAL or below Megascenery SoCAL?Is there such a thing as too much addons? I am worried I have too many addons installed and that it'll somehow mess up something.

Most scenery addons will tell you where they need to be - check out the docs. So, for example, you may find that you need to put a small-area-scenery above the larger (e.g. UTX) scenery, so that one sits atop the other sensibly. Reading the readmes is probably the only way to get this right.Too many addons? I doubt it. With a lot of photoscenery you can get longish load times, but that's a price worth paying. I keep adding stuff, and FSX keeps working, so go for it, I suggest :) I've yet to find that I need to uninstall one plane, to install another.

I've hundreds of gigs of sceneries and it's true that the load time is long. As for UTX above a photoscenery (higher priority) it will add streets lighting by. ex. I recommend an utility for managing all sceneries, changing priority, disabling, moving etc. that is Addit pro. (I'm not affiliated with it !!)RV

Haven't ever heard about 'too many addons'. But I agree with Bryan, good point.
