Engine Stops right after cold and dark startup

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I hope somebody knows about this issue and maybe there's a fix for it. i just upgraded from FS9 to FSX and experienced right from the beginning, that after a while, if I wanna start the engines from cold and dark, be it a default prop, a helicopter or a 3rd party (even a more complex one), the engine shuts donw 15-45 seconds after starting. It starts to run, but shuts down and cannot be fully started only by restarting FSX.The following addons are used:Win 7 Home Premium 64 bitFSX with AccelerationREX 2FSUIPC 4.30Maybe it is a known issue, maybe there is a workaround or a fix, please if somebody ever experienced this or knows about it, then drop me a few lines, possibly with a solution:-)Thank you!

That usually means its not getting fuel.
The tanks were full. It's something else I think.

I use a cold and dark file and have experienced this as well. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. An aircraft will work one day and not the other. The only thing that helps is to manually adjust the fuel levers on the TQ when the engine starts to spool up. The aircraft always load with them in the cutoff position. Sometimes they switch on automatically at start up. Sometimes they don't.

Not the tanks, the fuel cutoffs, make sure they are on. what plane are you using?

Cycle the mixture controll(s) closed then fully open.Press Ctrl-Alt-F4 to make sure the fuel valves are opened completely.
