Heads up on a cool iphone app for fs9,fsx,and xplane

Featured Replies

I was looking around the Apple app store tonight and ran across a program that just came out called Igmap ($9.99).It is a moving map program for the iphone and works with xplane, fs9, and fsx! After reading that I had to get it and try it out.It has custom maps for worldwide, and US,Alaska,Cuba/PR US Wac's and US Tac's.Skycharts which I had heads upped a few years ago is great also but as far as I know still only does xplane. This also was extremely easy to set up-very happy with it! With my ihome keyboard (the iphone plugs into it) things are very nice!A few shots:

That appears to be a really cool App, Geofa! However, it's not enough to entice me into spending $$$'s just to run a $10 application... :(

Nice find! No more having to refresh VATSpy for a simple map display :( .And, luckily, I've already shelled out for the requisite hardware :(

Oh Fr. Bill-we know as a flight sim developer you make that amount with every second that ticks by :(

If FR. Bill thinks the cost is prohibitive on the I-phone I-pad, he should price the ones at Garmin and Jeppesen used in the actual aircraft.

I very aware of the costs of the Real World units... :( Relative to the cost of the a/c in which they are installed however they are "inexpensive."Relative to the costs of the average flightsim machine though, an iPod or iPad is rather more "expensive!"

There is a cheaper alternative. LINK REMOVED - UNALLOWED ADVERTISING
Relatively speaking, there is no problem with the cost of the App! It's the cost of the hardware needed to run the App that's the issue. Since I absolutely have no need whatever for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod, it would be a rather expensive "add-on..." :(
