July 10, 201015 yr ...Of course you don't get the aerodynamic loads on your FS sticks..AlActually, with a proper Force Feedback joystick and a plugin called FSForce, you can feel aerodynamic forces on the elevator. It makes trimming a piece of cake. https://www.youtube.com/user/JustaRandomSimmer Simulator Videos http://sierra-hotel.blogspot.com Aviation Picture Blog
July 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member Even though I've used rudder pedals for years in FS, I was shocked at how stiff the real pedals of even a small bird like a 172 are. It'd take a hell of a spring or FFB to replicate that in a controller, but it sure would be nice to have. Except for the fact that we'd all be walking around with leg cramps from FS then... :( Bill Womack ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Visit my FS Blog or follow me on Twitter (username: bwomack). It makes trimming a piece of cake.I've had a few force feedback sticks over the years, and they just don't get it right in my opinion, others will disagree of course, but they don't really do it for me. If there was one that could do proper elevator pre-stall buffet in a really convincing fashion, I'd certainly use that, since I rely on that a lot in a real glider in steep turns.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
