August 2, 201015 yr Anyone have experience installing these with FSX Acceleration... I have FEX now thinking about adding UTX and GEX, any particular sequence of install and potential frame rate, I'm running i7 chip with 6 gig ram... please advise...UTX will take up some fps but you should have no difficulties running it smoothly. GEX replaces the default textures and modifies some of the autogen plus enhances UTX so there's no need to worry about the order in the scenery library. GEX optimized the default textures to get better performance so that's a good choice. If you install UTX, make sure you place it down below any addon sceneries or airports as you could have some anomalies. I placed mine just above propeller objects.Best regards,Jim

August 3, 201015 yr UTX will take up some fps but you should have no difficulties running it smoothly. The UTX setup tool provides information on how each feature affects performance. The biggest hitters, 3D lights at night and residential roads in urban areas, can be turned off and may be visually better that way. There is added vehicular traffic on roads, and it's best to set vehicular traffic down to 10% in FSX when using the current version of UTX. Also, I believe the GEX setup tool has options for it to work best with UTX. UTX, GEX and REX have a few features that overlap with each other and I havn't quite figured out what is the best of each and how to make the best features active. Art
August 5, 201015 yr You really need a good system to run all three. You will see some framerate hit with UTX.... I highly reccommend. May I suggest buying GEX, and see how you like it first...
