Routes fro MD-11 and 747

Featured Replies

Hello to all, I purchased the Md-11 back in Feb. I also have the 747.I havent really flown them much becasue I don't have any ideas on where to fly both aircraft. What routes do you guys/gals enjoy flying for both the Md-11 and the 747? Could you all give examples for each aircraft? I would love some routes with easy flying but others where the weather is usually not fun to fly in or the approaches are intersting to say the least. Thanks for the help!

Anywhere you want! Here are some current online flight to give you an example http://www.vataware.com/aircraft.cfm?code=md11You could also join a virtual airline and get assigned routes or pick your own from real world schedules. On the 747-400 you can also find thousands of real world routes online ranging from 20 minute hops in Japan right up to to 18 hour ultra longhaul flights It's all up to you.Regards

Joining a virtual airline can be a great way to discover new routes. I've recently joined www.fdxva.net and it's been great for the MD11. It's nice since there is a combination of shorter and longer routes. **disclaimer: This is not a plug for www.fdxva.net. Check out other VA's and find one that fits your needs.Have fun,Chris K.

awesome ideas guys! I usually use www.flightaware.com for the US domestic flights. The intl. flights usally dont have the full routes so it can get frustrating. Also, What kind airlines use the EMB-145 in Europe. I don't fly much outside the US and would love to venture out that way.

Here's a bunch of MD11 routes, both pax and freight. These have been posted before, but I forget who should get credit for the compilation. Enjoy!

The pinnacle of real world routes is to make SIA21 from KEWR-WSSS. 18.5 hours long. The longest 747 route is KLAX-YSSY, not ER so you could definatly do it.
