August 10, 201015 yr I just noticed that the wheels of a particular AI aircraft are not touching the surface when on the ground. All the other AI aircraft at the same airport are fine so I'm assuming it's a config issue with this particular aircraft? Here are the contact points - is this something I should adjust to lower it a little and if so, can someone tell me which ones to change to lower it about 1 or 2 (real world) feet? August 10, 201015 yr I would recommend letting us know which or what AI aircraft this is. That will give us a better idea of what we are working with and what needs to be done to fix it.Best regards,Mel
August 10, 201015 yr Author Hi Mel.Certainly. It is an OV-10 Bronco that I downloaded from somewhere. Unfortunately I did not keep the readme and there's no authorship information in the .cfg file but I think it's probably a tweaked version of a flyable aircraft by someone who uses the nickname "Piglet?"(Comes with two texture sets - one for an Air Force and the other for a Marine unit based at Danang - both in light grey). It is probably not a true multi-LOD AI model, but it was "tweaked" for AI and works fine except for the floating issue. The wheels look like they are about a foot or two above the ground. I know it's not the scenery elevation as all the other AI aircraft are correct.

They are the distance the wheel contact points are below the plane's centerline, in feet. Changing the 6 to 4 will lower the plane 2 feet.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
August 10, 201015 yr Author Awesome! Thanks Joe. It turned out my guesstimate of the amount of space between the wheels and the ground was way too much, so I had to play with the numbers for a while, but the problem is now solved.Scott - I had never noticed it before but was taxiing very close to the Bronco when I noticed the daylight under the wheels. It was very small so you are probably right in saying it's fine the way it is. If I hadn't been so close I would not have noticed it and it would never have bothered me! :( Thanks guys!
