Hi. Sorry for this...complete Newby re Radar Contact. Thing is I've installed it...read the installation carefully...then when I get in FSX in game, the window comes up with the initial screen...1 CLR on CD etc ... and 2 Wx Brf etc. I can here the airport info...BUT when I press 1 or 2..NOTHING happens. I cannot get it to work. I have tried changing the key assignments, but it still doesn't work when I press the menu selection. What am I doing wrong? What have I missed? I note in my version of Radar Contact, there is no Modules along the top...just "Add ons' with 'FSUIPC' under it. Why won't it respond to me when I press the menu selection to get the clearance channel etc? Grateful advice. Thanks.apoll

Are you setting your comm frequencies that are shown in the menu items for Wx and clearance?

Make sure the FS window is active, not the RC one, for RC to get keystrokes. Some people drag the RC window into place but don't click in the main FS window after that.

a common problem, is pressing "start rc" button, but fs isn't running, or is on a menu, or the fly now screen, or the flight planner window. fs has to be running, plane at the gate, clock on the panel ticking away, and then it is ready for you to press the "start rc" button.if that's not it, make a log, instructions pinned to the top of the forum, and duplicate the problem. hit several keys, and click stop rc button. zip up the log and send it to me. i can tell if i ever see the keys you are hittingalso make sure no third party app is using the same keys rc is using.jd

It works now...when I start RC as the very last thing. May be worth making this a real prominent sticky, as I now see others who have had the same issue? Thanks agin.regards,apoll

I have the same problem you are having; I was starting RC last, so that wasn't it and I am clicking on all the FS boxes, but the RC ignores my keystrokes. Is this a FSX issue? I am asking because there is no modules key on the FS menu.Well, I finally found out that you need to run it as an administrator, then it works. Now for the next set of vagaries.

I've also got the "nothing happens" problem. When I first installed everything a while back, my issue was similar to the other folks where I either started them in the wrong order, or hadn't used administrator. Now I have new machine and after reinstalling everything, I can't get RC working.Here's what I'm doing, perhaps someone can spot the error:(This is FSX on Win7 64)I start FS, load the flight plan, and otherwise get ready to fly. I minimize FS, start RC and get it all ready.I click on "Start FS" in the RC box and after a few seconds, it minimizes and the dialog box appears in FS.The window has everyting in it as expected, but it just will not respond to any keyboard clicks. I also changed the keyboard shortcuts in case there was a conflict, but no change. Any ideas for a solution are most welcome. Thanks!

Figures - as soon as I posted my previous question, it started working. :-)I think perhaps I had focus on the RC window when I was using the keyboard.
