September 2, 201015 yr Hey quick question. I'm just getting back into simming.I for the love of god CAN'T find where any .air files are. I'm trying to merge my FeelThere panel/flight dynamics with the 50N model, but I don't know where the .air files are. I don't ever remember having a problem finding them. ? I'm running Vista if that makes any difference at all. any help would be nice! thanks!
September 2, 201015 yr Author The .air file should be in the ..\FS9\aircraft\aircraftname\ folder.I thought so but I don't see them. Is there maybe some option or setting in windows 7 that doesn't allow me to see that extension?
September 2, 201015 yr I know nothing about Windows 7 (yet), but I guess you may actually see the air files though without their extensions. In XP (might be similar to Win 7) you can choose not to hide extensions when you go to your Windows Explorer's Folder Options and View.Check it out anyway.
September 2, 201015 yr Author The only thing is there's no file there... I don't even see a file with no extension.Just the aircraft.cfg an all the other normal stuff.

I don't even see a file with no extension.Just the aircraft.cfg an all the other normal stuff. An .air file has to be there or else the aircraft in question will not display on your Aircraft selection menu.Try changing your View option from Icons to Details and be sure you have unchecked the "hide extensions for known file types" in your settings menu as previously suggested.
September 2, 201015 yr Author I know that's what was confusing me. I'll give it a shot .I know that's what was confusing me. I'll give it a shot .
September 2, 201015 yr Possibly you have "Adobe Air" installed on your computer and the icon for the ".air" file looks like an adobe file ? Peter Schluter
