I went to Alaska this summer. Landed at PANC and was greeted by this scene. Our Air Canada A319's tail is on the left. Kind of made me miss flying the 400X.Turns out we were waiting for our shuttle to the hotel and all of these 747 cargos took off in plain view not very far from us one right after another. It was quite a site. This was a great way to start a vacation. After landing in Vancouver (A321), the Captain of our flight let my daughter "drive to the gate" (as she will tell you!). Even though im a young guy, (21) parents who give their kids the opportunity to do things like your daughter really make me look forward to the idea of kids hahahah. In due time though :( :(

Kind of sad that PANC sees less and less operators now. With JAL winding down and no more NWA Cargo, Fedex flying 777s straight from Asia to the US. Wish someone would release a high quality PANC addon for FSX too. Cool shots and story Scott.

Great idea Scott!I took a friend flying a few days ago around Gatwick, and it included a nice view of Dunsfold Aerodrome where they film Top Gear:Note the 747 in my pics too! It's an ex BA 747-200 that was used in the film Casino Royale. You often see it in the background on TG.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't quite know what to post though, that's why I put a few aerials together. I liked to zoom along town and cross the field occasionally, so well this is what it is about.Getting these pictures outta the cobwebs made me actually look at some quite a bit closer than ever before, and I found an aircraft I had never noticed before parked on the apron... If anyone has a clue what this is, feel free to elaborate.
