September 21, 201015 yr If I do a missed approach and just happen to fly over the airport...even at 600 feet, It will end my route. Whats up with that?
September 21, 201015 yr I'm fairly certain that shouldn't happen. Do you have a missed approach loaded? Joe Sherrill
September 23, 201015 yr Make sure that you've selected the approach and added it to your route. DEP/ARRLSK 2Rpick your App and transitions as apprpriate. Execute Matt Cee
September 23, 201015 yr Author I've been using pmdg for years and never had this problem until now when I had to reload the aircraft and updates due to new hard drive. As I'm flying over the airport doing the missed approach, I get the end route on fmc and lose all the data except for the hold at the fix for the missed approach. Not sure why. Just did it again on me. Over flew the airport at 1000 feet climbing out and ended route.
September 24, 201015 yr I think when you go missed approach the FMS steps through the missed approach procedure in the sidstar file and then it's done. Some missed approach procedures are just fly to a fix and expect vectors, which will give you an 'end of route' message. Dan Downs KCRP

Boeing manual says ALERTING MESSAGE: [END OF ROUTE] LNAV engaged and passing the last waypoint in the route (LNAV disengages). CORRECTIVE ACTION: Select the RTE LEGS page. Enter the desired active waypoint into the dash prompts and EXECute. Reengage LNAV. Randy J Smith
