October 11, 201015 yr Commercial Member I'll tell you guys my GTX470 is perfect for FSX, good choice!Luckyman,What FPS are you getting at large airports with AI and some weather ? Also, is would there really be a significant difference in performance between a GTX470 and the Asus GTX 460 DirectCU 1024MB GDDR5 being offered in this package ? Eric
October 11, 201015 yr Probably not to tell you the truth. Only difference would be a slight performance increase and higher AA with 470. If your on a fairly tight budget, get the 460. Unless you compare the two cards side by side in FSX, you probably aint gonna notice a difference.

EricI get around 85-103FP/S with 10% AI on the ground at a big airport such as Vienna and with a lot of REX HD clouds and the Wilco 777.But near big cities I get around 50FP/S and it never drops under 30, never. Unless I set the Ai really high... But I'm running a i7 at 4Ghz btw and no 460 vs 470 isn't a big differnce as Chris said.

October 17, 201015 yr Author Well, guys, I finally committed to this system today - added a 60GB Vertex SSD, and will harvest my VRap from my current setup when the new one arrives.http://www.overclock...rodid=FS-152-OEFinally, after 4 years of waiting I can finally fly at large airports with AI, and weather. FSX has arrived. Problem is there are SO many addons I now want to purchase. Fortunately the kind folks at Aerosoft/Simwings also give you the FSX version when you purchase FS9 airports, so i have some European biggies. Next purchase is the PMDG J4100. Eric (fsx)
