October 3, 201015 yr Hi everyone!I have a general question about Flight Sim 2004. I know how to watch replays, but is it posible in FS2004 to reposition the aircraft, like it is in real life simulators. For example, could I reposition myself 10nm out on an ILS approach, and do the approach again, instead of going around and completing the entire procedure. Or even going back in time, say to go back 5 minutes and do the manoeuvre again? Thanks very much!Alicia.
October 3, 201015 yr Yes, just save your flight at where you want to be later and then choose it from the menu.Remember however that not each addon aircraft will let you save all system states.Do try, no risk. :(
October 3, 201015 yr Rafal, thanks very much for the quick reply - worked a treat! So simple to do, don't know why I never figured it out! Also, do you know how to introduce a wind, say a crosswind for the ILS, without resorting to real world weather. Just want to specify a wind so I can practice crabbing with drift headings. Thanks again!Alicia.
October 4, 201015 yr Also easy! :wink:Select Weather --> User-defined Weather --> Customize WeatherThere you can change both wind speed and direction as required for your xwind training.Good landings, Alicia!
October 4, 201015 yr You can also reposition the aircraft by pressing "Y" default command and slewing (can cause some weird affects with airspeed/etc)... or you can go to the map display and click and drag the aircraft icon, followed by entering desired speed/heading/altitude on the left side of the map. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
October 4, 201015 yr Use world/map in the dropdown menu, in that, drag the aircraft where you want, set all parameters as you'd like. OK - then fly. FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap

October 4, 201015 yr Hi everyone![snip] Or even going back in time, say to go back 5 minutes and do the manoeuvre again? Thanks very much!Alicia. To 'go back in time' - just save the flight at the point you want to restart (like Rafal said) and then reset the flight once you've landed (CTRL+;, I think). Will (should...) take you straight back to your save point without having to load the flight from the main menu.

October 4, 201015 yr Thanks very much to you all, everything that has been suggested worked first time around. Quite unusual to find a forum where every reply is helpful and informative! Good work!
