737NGX vs Js4100 vs MD11?

Featured Replies

Hey All / PMDG,I am very much looking forward to the new 737NGX series, especially after flying a 737-700 sim and riding jumpseat in a 737-900!The purpose of this post, is to hopefully get info on the FPS we can expect in comparison to the above.I have the MD11, and usually get 20-30 fps using my settings. I get only 9-13 in the Js4100.I am HOPING that the 737NGX is more like the MD11 on the FPS.ThanksK r e g E.

They have said that so far (without ALL the systems in) the NGX performs better then the MD11. So at worst, it will probably perform about the same or close to the MD11

I think you should try playing with the JS41 configuration manager to improve your framerates. I find the JS41 a little easier on my system than the MD-11. Hope this helps.

Actually Dan makes a good point. Based on my own experiences if you're getting 20-30 with the MD11 you should be getting at least 15-20 in the J41

Well,I had issues with the J41 from the start. It would not even work for a month, and then Ryan and I finally got it working....sort of. I haven't tried it since then, because it was so frustrating to have it for a month and not use it, and then finally get to use it and see FPS under 10. Thanks for the comments guys!@Noah! Love the FSKneeboard! Other than it crashing a few times, it really really supplements my FSX experience!

Glad you enjoy it, if it's crashing a lot please let me know, I haven't had crash reports for about 2 versions so I thought I had them all taken care of.

Noah, absolutely love your FSKneeboard. Works like a charm on my iPad but won't on my iPod (latest gen). Do you think you will port it to iPod/iPhone?

It is ported to iPod/iPhone but is a separate app to purchase. Ensure you have updated to the latest software version if it's not appearing in the iPhone/iPod store.
