October 10, 201015 yr Hi Bryon. I've just started using the J41 Button Control edition and getting to like it. However, there is something I appear to be overlooking and no amount of searching reveals the answer. After loading the fuel quantity and clicking 'okay' the set fuel quantity appears in the FMC and then rapidly reverts to 5885. Even setting the correct amount on the load sheet makes no difference. The FMC calculates 5885 lbs and shows I'm over weight. For example, if I load 2000 lbs of fuel it momuntarily appears in the FMC then turns to 5885. I'm unable to change it in the FMC.What procedure(s) have I missed? Bruce RossI should have mentioned this has only started since installing FS2Crew. It may well be more suited to the PMDG forum. Perhaps you could advise. Bruce Ross

October 14, 201015 yr I haven't seen this problem - but one obvious point, the J41 works in lbs but depending on how you have the FS general settings tab and fuel & payload tab configured, FS may be asking you for entries in gallons, litres, lbs or kg's.If you are entering the fuel you want in lbs into the FS box which set to read the number as kgs, then the J41 will read 2.2046 times as many lbs of fuel as you intended - if you see what I mean. So you want 2,000 lbs, but enter it in a box for kgs, the J41 reads the number it as 2,000 kgs and multiplies it by 2.2046 to get 4,400 lbs. So, check the unit of entry the FS fuel & payload tab is asking you for. You may need to do a conversion to get the entry needed to get the lbs you want out at the other end.
October 25, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the reply. That wasn't the problem though. I was using lbs. For some reason the aircraft did this to me probably for about 4 or 5 re-boots of the computer over a couple of days immediately after I installed FS2Crew. After that it came right. I've put it down to one of those silly quirks computers throw at us from time to time. Great program this FS2Crew. I recommend it to any readers who are contenplating.
