October 11, 201015 yr Hi,my name is Lucass and I've just start fly Js41 ;)..but I have few questions about this machine:1. When I switch STROBE LIGHTS on, strobe lights on wing tips aren't visible.2. When the CONDITION LEVERS are in the "FLIGHT" condition, intensivity of engines sound increase ..and it is normal. But when I move Power LEVER forward or backward, sound intensivity doesn't change.. is it normal?(I think - YES, because Power LEVERS set pitch of propeller blades and RPM are still the same - so.. sound intesivity doesn't change ..am I right?)3. In what conditions I should use CONDITION LEVERS in FEATHER position?4. I have poor quality of indications (especially on RMU, EIS, EHSI, EADI) when the zoom is a bit farther.I.e.:It looks like the AA were off...when the zoom is closer - indications are better:PS. I have ATI Radeon HD 4870 512, E6750, 2x2GB RAMBest regards,Lukas Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 11, 201015 yr 1. the Jetstream does not have any ACLs on the wingtips.. they are located under the belly and on the rudder next to the beacon.2. well I hear a difference between the power settings. but you are right, in "flight mode", to say it simple, the RPM are controlled via the condition lever and the blade pitch via the power lever.3. engine failure or manual shutdown in flight. also used to quick shut down a starting engine on ground in case of malfunction.4. guess you use high-resolution VC? try the low-res, it's nearly no difference and at lower screen resolutions like yours the picture should be clearer. Regards. Matthias Hanel MilViz Beta Team
October 12, 201015 yr Author Thanks for replies.I'll check what you suggest.Ps. I guess you mean "Normal resolution VC" (there isn't "Low-res")Ps2. Ad. question 4: Maybe I should change EADI/EHSI refresh value to lower (I have now 100%)?Lucas, Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 12, 201015 yr Ah yes, it is called normal res. The refresh rate is good to gain some performance, for example I set the Co's to 10% or so, which gives you some more FPS. Regards. Matthias Hanel MilViz Beta Team
October 12, 201015 yr Author Hi,Hm...change to Normal-res doesn't take effect :(I have one more question:Is it possible to assign key to specific command (like i.e. PIC737 has a Setup Utility/Keyboard)?For example: I have assignment (set in FS options) "Ctrl+Shift+Z" as a "Altitude Set /AMSL/"; then keys "+" or "-" should increase or decrease altimeter for Autopilot, but it doesn't work in JS41 (in deafault planes it works). So, I have to set/switch everything in VC by mouse (left and right buttons and scroll). JS41 is more complicated plane then default planes, with much more active switches and buttons.. so the 'keys configurator' (or something like that) could by very helpful. ...especially that I have Saitek X52 and I can assign many switches in cockpit for its buttons ;)I hope you understand me.. my English isn't marvellous ;)Lucas Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 12, 201015 yr Hi Łukasz,Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG You'll find PMDG_J41.ini file there, use it to assign additional keys.Pozdro/Cheers
October 12, 201015 yr Hi Łukasz,Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG You'll find PMDG_J41.ini file there, use it to assign additional keys.Pozdro/Cheers Small not on this.. the commands are added just like you wrote it, for example "ctrl+shift+a". October 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks guys, I'll check it...any ideas about poor quality of indicates (RMU, EIS, etc.) in VC..? :( Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 13, 201015 yr Turn AA on, if Your'e using NVIDIA card take look into this thread for info on how to set everything right.
October 13, 201015 yr Author ..as I wrote earlier .. I have ATI HD 4870. AA is turned on in FS Graphics Options and in Catalyst Control Center. Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 16, 201015 yr Author ...I see that you don't have any clues for me...? :(Hm, maybe with nVidia card it will be no problem? I have ATI card - maybe it has a matter? Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 17, 201015 yr I need some help I just bought the j41. I like it but it crashes my fsx as soon as i push any button in the cockpit. I have un-installed it and re installed it with no luck. It does not seem to compleatly un-install cuz when i re-install it i do not have to re-activate it. Please help
October 17, 201015 yr Hi Lukasz,I really don't see anything wrong with your screenshots, at least nothing too serious. They look great.I have a nVidia card(s) and no matter what the tweak is, still have some small things like you're talking about.Look at mine, you will see it has pretty much the same, small wigglies.@ JohN:Your issue should be in it's own topic. You'll get more responces that way since it will be less hidden. October 24, 201015 yr Author Hello again :)I have 2 little problems with this machine..1. ILS approach- I have landed on APP mode twice and every time I was a little left drift from localizer (GS works fine). As a result I had to turn AP off earlier and handly correct horizontal path stright to the runway. What is wrong? ..what I did wrong? ..or is it a bug?2. Sometimes, the spoilers didn't expand after touch down and reverse thrust applying. As AOM "says", I ARMed spoilers before takeoff. What is wrong?Regards,Lucas Lukasz Trzaskowski
October 24, 201015 yr 1. I have no idea about proper phraseology and I have no knowledge yet, but are You sure that AP didn't set the aircraft in "crab" position? OK, let's wait for real pilots 2. This happens when You touch down at speed far below VREF EDIT:Lukasz if You're Polish than You can contact me via PM, I could be more helpfull in my/our native language, if only Your name sounds Polish then sorry!
