September 25, 200322 yr Peter Dowson is a magician. I know he says that FSUIPC does not affect FS2004 in many ways, but after installing his new version of FSUIPC I am now able to use the Alt Enter keys to get into windowed mode and minimize, and am now able to go back to full window mode without getting the black screen. Thank you Peter for your great work.I have also increased my frame rates without doing anything other than install the new FSUIPC.dll in my modules folder. Go figure.
September 25, 200322 yr Gee you have some system there!!!!How much did it cost you?Stelios Stelios Christofides
September 26, 200322 yr A 40 GHz hard drive must be quite something - that's up in the infra red somewhere! Ian Box
September 26, 200322 yr No sarcasm, really, but it may sounds like a new "increase your FPS in FS tip" sentence: "I have also increased my frame rates without doing anything other than install the new FSUIPC.dll in my modules folder. Go figure."in fact if this was the problem, you could have increased the frame rate long ago without installing FSUIPC, or said another way, the new FSUIPC may have restored your FPS to convenient and acceptable levels which were not attainable with the previous versions that you have spotted as being responsible for a FPS degradation.Hope this helps!
September 26, 200322 yr no, I did some rough numbers, check my math, if the speed of light is 2.998e8 m/sec and we divide 4e10 c/sec into it, we get a wavelength of .0075 meters, 3/4 of a cm. I believe this is in the microwave portion of the em spectrum.Bob Bernstein
September 26, 200322 yr Is there anyway that FSUIPC 3.08 could be responsible for freezing gauges on the 2D panel? Sherm
September 26, 200322 yr "I am now able to use the Alt Enter keys to get into windowed mode and minimize, and am now able to go back to full window mode without getting the black screen. "Really? hmmm, might just have to take a trip to the file library...LPXO

September 27, 200322 yr Yes! you are right!! I've forgotten the history.doc. It certainly explains that the purpose of the parameter is for the latest FSUIPC to impair less the performances than the previous builds...in refreshing less often the weather information... :-)
