LOL! Wait until two weeks after FS2006 is released. Everyone will be complaining about it and yelling about going BACK to FS2004.Happens EVERY release. Flight Simmers are a predictable lot. Wonder if the train simmers are as bad?FS2004? - It ain't perfect but it's fun to fly - that's all that matters. Would I *LIKE* 40FPS with all sliders maxed? Of course. Am I happy with 24FPS with most sliders maxed - you bet. Do I care about the difference? Not on your life.It's FUN to fly it - that's all that matters.Just MHO,Vic

Sorry Vic that wasn't the case when FS2000 came out. Everyone upgraded immediately to FS2k2 to get away from that sim. FS2000 had to have been the worse release in FS history aside from FS95 but FS2k was still worse than that.Tom,Make sure all your landclass scenery is placed in your scenery folder. Maybe someone can help me here because I'm at work but there is a subfolder in the scenery folder that you should place all your landclass scenery into or you will have framrate problems...

My Opinion:FSW95 C-FS98 AFS2000 DFS2002 A-FS9 B+My grades based on the level of technology available at the release of the particular version and not a direct comparison of the different sims. Having said that, I used FS98 up to 3 months before the release of FS2002. Which means that I only used FS2000 for 3 months. At that point most of the patches and fixes were already out.

I think you have a hardware problem or conflict somewhere - or maybe a third party add on problem.I'm driving a 2.6 gig with 764 megs of ram with a Radeon 9700 and a Audigy Gamer card - in good weather I am pegged at 22, dropping into the high teens on approach, consistently. If I get greedy with the weather and sliders, I can easilly see 10 or 11 fps, but never 2 or 3. And my machine is a frankenstein monster. Dell 8100 box and MOBO, powerleap socket adapter to take the 2.6 gig chip (I had one of the first p4s originally), upgraded memory, upgraded sound card, upgraded video card, control card for second hard drive. I could go on. And it still works as noted above. I'm not sure where the problem might lie, but I really doubt its with FS. Do you have similar problems with other games?

Tomas, this IS an issue.If you ask for help, and someone goes out of their way to offer help, for you to choose to whine about your problem WITHOUT trying the already offered solutions means to me that you JUST want to whine..you don't really want it to work well.I have no energy to offer help to someone if I think the guy is just going to ignore me.
