October 30, 201015 yr Hi there,Have been flight simming for approximately 5 years of my life and I find I am usually flying with Meljet aircraft, be it for the 747, 777-200ER and 777-300ER. However, recently Project Opensky's aircraft have very much caught my eyes in terms of their lovely exterior models and visuals. However, one thing detracts me from switching. THE POSKY FLIGHT DYNAMICS!!! I find it much easier to fly Meljet's rather than POSKY's!So I was wondering if there was anybody out there who knew how to merge the two (i.e. have Meljet's flight dynamics but have the POSKY model)?Any help would go greatly appreciated...
October 30, 201015 yr Yes, POSKY's models are very nice! You a heavyish simmer? Like FMC etc. Then also check out the PSS 777. There is a merge for the PSS panel with POSKY model, with updated FDE specifically for the 777-200ER: http://singaporevirt...id=68&Itemid=70You might be able to use that FDE for the POSKY 772ER. Might work, worth a try...
October 30, 201015 yr I agree - which is why uploaded a set of replacement FDE files specifically designed for the Posky 772ER in May this year. Look for 'Boeing 777-200ER replacement FDE' in the library. Just plug in your [fltsim] sections and then go fly!;)
October 31, 201015 yr Cheers and thanks very much. Would you know where I can find a replacement FDE for the 747 though as well?Well I used payware aircraft like PMDG's 747 and CLS' A340 for a little while but on the whole I've found them too difficult to master, what with the FMC being an amateur.
October 31, 201015 yr I used payware aircraft like PMDG's 747 and CLS' A340 for a little while but on the whole I've found them too difficult to master, what with the FMC being an amateurIt's always good to make a thorough reading (product info, reviews, etc) before spending so much money.BTW: FMC is nothing scary, it just requires some learning and practice, like anything else. There are tutorials around, leading you literally step by step. And CLS A340, as far as I can say, is a very basic addon so, out of curiosity, what problems exactly did you have to master it?
November 1, 201015 yr Well I used payware aircraft like PMDG's 747 and CLS' A340 for a little while but on the whole I've found them too difficult to master, what with the FMC being an amateur.Again on that note, the FMC will become easy to master after a few tries and uses. People can program the FMC in like 5 mins. You can also get tutorials on how to use the planes on youtube you know...:rolleyes:Good, better than reading sometimes too, but reading through the material is off course better...
November 2, 201015 yr Well it's alright. I gave it to my younger cousin as his birthday present. He's into flight simming too (no thanks to me lol :(!)Any word on how to merge the Meljet 744 dynamics with the POSKY 744 model successfully? Again on that note, the FMC will become easy to master after a few tries and uses. People can program the FMC in like 5 mins. You can also get tutorials on how to use the planes on youtube you know...:rolleyes:Good, better than reading sometimes too, but reading through the material is off course better...
November 2, 201015 yr All, Since the PSS/POSKY 777 merge was metioned - has anyone gotten the POSKY Air File to work with the PSS Panel ??? All the merges I have found use the PSS Air file... I prefer the POSKY Air as it seems more realistic - and - the only issue I have found is that the "Autothrottle" spins to max RPM and it stays there - no speed control... I've spent the last few days in the Air File editor trying to find the parameter that the PSS panel autothrottle is looking for... No luck yet... It seems like many have had the issue by the number of posts I've found - just no answers... Any help appreciated... As far as the 747 FDE goes - I'd try the POSKY ones again - they are really good... The biggest hurdle I had when I started flying them - was my approaches were always too slow... I'd wind up dumping it in the ground... Once I figured out the correct approach speed - it flew much better... Hmm - I don't recall - they might be over MTOW and you may need to offload some fuel too... I'm not 100% on that though...Regards,Scott
November 3, 201015 yr Since the PSS/POSKY 777 merge was metioned - has anyone gotten the POSKY Air File to work with the PSS Panel ??? All the merges I have found use the PSS Air file... Use this: http://singaporevirt...d=68&Itemid=70. Made from real world Boeing 777-200ER info. Modified air file. Just install and fly :(. Just need PSS 777 installed. Do try this out and tell us how it goes here :(
