Aircraft.cfg checker/sort tool

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a tool to automatically sort/renumber the fltsim.xx lines in aircraft.cfg. I found two files on AVSIM, one AirCfg checker which is not freeware and cfg_tidy which refuses to run.Any other ideas?

I have one that I wrote, (literally in a day), that is a vb6 app. You're more then welcome to a copy of it but I have no idea on how or what to do to set it up on a 64 bit system. You'll also need to install the vb6 run time which is available from Microsoft. Up to you but I know it works OK on my 32 bit system. Not a lot of bells and whistles but gets the job done. Just PM me if you want a copy.Mark

No idea if it will run on your Operating System - but you might take a look at Steve Greenwoods excellent scenery.cfg utility:http://home.earthlink.net/~smgreenwood/welcome.shtmlClick on the Resources option at the top Right of the page.I have used it for several years on my XP system - keeps my scenery.cfg file neat and tidy.

Hi Word Not Allowed. What was the cfg_tidy file called? I tried a library search for cfg_tidy and for cfg_tidy.zip under description and under filename but drew a blank. I'd like to give it a go to see if I can get it to work.Regards,D

My bad - should have read your post more carefully - but as an excuse I was in a fit of depression over the recent Dallas Cowboys horrible season so far when I responded. :(
