CTD issues

Featured Replies

Good Evening Ladies and Gents,i am having trouble with the Jetstream 41. I have the ability to load it into fsx and set up the fmc and get the engines started (sometimes). However when im starting to taxi or just making last minute preparations my fsx CTDs. This only happens with the J41. It is a excellent aircraft to fly though. I don't really want to delete the sound .dll as i love the internal and external sounds and i dont want to change to 64 bit operating system as this will cause other things not to work. However i have tried using Direct X but this solution did not work. I only took delivery of this new computer last night. It has 4GB Ram, 1GB graphics card, 500GB hardrive. Anyone have any ideas please?ThanksJames R

Good evening ;)Use DX9, check Your DLL.XML for errors, switch to 64bit OS, make sure that LOD in Your FSX.CFG isn't set to high (or try rebuilding it), especially with memory cut off to 3.5GB by 32bit OS.

Switching to 64-bits isn't going to solve that problem. I use FSX in WIndows 7 Home Premium 64-bits and often (not too often) have crash to desktop in FSX.

Do you have the HIGHMEMFIX=1 statement in your fsx.cfg file (Display section I think).
