American Heliports/Helipads?

Featured Replies

I've been tooling around the US in the Cera Simaircraft Bell 212 and 412 lately and I'm hankering for some decent scenery for heliports/helipads. Does anyone else do a significant amount of helicoptering and have any scenery suggestions for how to get the most out of it?

Spend some time at the Hovercontrol.com site.It is dedicated to all things Chopper related and I am sure you will find items of interest there.

I'd take a look at Helitraffic 2009 if I were you, as it sounds like just what you are after, since you can stick a helipad wherever you like with that thing: http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=helitrafficThere is a review of it coming shortly on Avsim (by me actually).Al

I second that recommendation - have used it now for well over a year and I find it works very well indeed. Setting up personal flight plans takes a bit of trial and error but once you get the hang of it, the package adds a great deal of useful "eye candy" to any area.I have a number of choppers set to fly from various roof tops to local airports as an example. To me, the best thing is that can use any chopper you have installed.
