V35B Released, anyone buy it yet?

Featured Replies

Was just on Carenado's website and noticed that the V35B is available. Did anyone buy it and test it out yet?

Yeah, bought it, flown it, like it...a lot! :( I've no doubt holes will be picked in it, but from my pov there's not a thing wrong with it. Having said that, I'm not a very demanding simmer from a navigational/instruments angle so there may well be mistakes. To sum up, I've spent more money on very much less satisfying aeroplanes. :(

Thanks for the reply! I'll probably end up buying it when I get home tonight!

I've bought it as well... overall a great plane. Which is what we have come to expect from Carenado.I have a couple of issues:1 - The ADF and Transponder radios overlap eachother making them both non-functional (see the VC preview shot released by Carenado)2 - The AVSS will not toggle between Altitude and Ascend/Descent Modes as per the manual. Both of these issues have been mailed to Carenado support as of writing this.EDIT: 3 - NAV lights on the tip-tank version don't connect with the wingtip properly (there's a little space in between).Other than those couple things she seems to be a great bird. I have only had time to take a short 10 min or so flight.Looking forward to hearing more experiences about this aircraft from others.Thanks,-Dave Sybiak

See? Told ya. Don't know what he said but I'm betting he's right. :(

Great you both have bought the plane. Ik hope you will give me an answer. Now I fly with the SF260 of RealAir. Nice plane. What I'm looking for is a second great plane. What I find important is the look and feeling of the textures of the plane. Nice and good view of the plane outside but even as important as before the nice, right and good looking of the panel inside. So I will get the right feeling when I fly around Switserland or wherever.Who might tell me about.RegardsLoek from The Netherlands

With a little help from Carenado support I was able to figure out where I went wrong below.2 - The AVSS will not toggle between Altitude and Ascend/Descent Modes as per the manual. The click-spot is actually on the upper part of the big outer knob, not the inner part of the smaller knob as the manual suggests.3 - NAV lights on the tip-tank version don't connect with the wingtip properly (there's a little space in between).Reply from support:"OK, that it is a problem of FSX. If you look them from the front will see them separate from the tip of the wing, but if you see them from the back, you see see them in the right position."With that it looks like I'm just down to the Adf and transponder issue.Kudos to Carenado for their multiple emails to me today helping me to figure out these issues. EXCELLENT support!Just thought I would update in case somebody else is having the same issue.Blue Skies,-Dave

You know what I do usually? I look at all the available screen shots, of which there are plenty on the Carenado site. Read what I can about the real life aeroplanes and decide for myself. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you to find out for yourself (well maybe I am) but I've read so much stuff about this new plane and that new plane where, to the fans, a developer can do no wrong. My 'fantastic' aeroplane might well be your 'crap' aeroplane. :( So, first the eyes, do I like the look of what I see? Then the head, do I like what I've read about the real life plane? Then the heart. Does it speak to me?Oh, and the V35B is a super little plane....for me. :(

Looks like they've already fixed the issue with the ADF and XPDR. Mine looks correct, and definitely not like the ones in the screenshots I've seen. She's smooth as butter, and the sound is astounding. Quite the little hot rod!

Indeed, they have fixed the issue with the ADF/XPDR... I just redownloaded and reinstalled... it's all good now. Thanks Carenado for quickly addressing all my issues.Blue Skies,-Dave

Based on your priorities, two planes I would look at:- RealAir Duke + RealityXP GNS530- Carenado Bonanza + RealityXP GNS430 + RealityXP FLT gaugesThis will give you a very realistic looking, fully IFR capable touring machine to complement your SF260.

Txt Doorman (ben jij Nederlander?) and Bert. The RealAir Duke I have yet. I'm looking for a second small plane. Nice to fly. There are 2 possibilities. F33A BONANZA and V35B BONANZA. Which is most nice, realitic. To jump in in the weekend and thinking: this is my home. The first one has bad reviews!RegardsLoek

The First Bonanaza got off to a slightly rocky start but is spot on now. My guess and it's only a guess, is that the F33A Bonanza would suit you better. Or you might like the V35B better. :( Tell you what, toss a coin. :(

I only own the F33 and love it.. but a number of little things had to be updated tomake the avionics work just like the real thing. (See the F33 sub-forum, here). The plane flies great and looks pretty nice too! The aluminum V35 actually looks even more spectacularin the Carenado screenshots. If you are picky as to cockpit details, the Reality XP gauges really help a lot!(but cost extra). See attached..

Txt fellows. I have bought the Bonanza 33A and it is super!!RegardsLoek
