November 11, 201015 yr I'm running an i7-950 on a ASUS P6X58D-E. It's overclocked to 4.2ghz in a HAFX case with a noctua cooler and have no temperature issues. The highest I've ever got it up to is 67deg on OCCT testIf you don't need 2 x GB LAN then i would save your money and go for the regular one.. If your going to clock it make sure you get some good RAM 6-8-6-24 timings are good, Mushkin is the bestCheersSteve Steve Brunsden
November 12, 201015 yr Yep I agree with Steve, I was checking the ASUS MOBOS aswell for quite awhile now and I was reading about the ASUS P6X58D-E.It's pretty much the same as the pre, and you save money ;) Regards,Claudio
