November 12, 201015 yr I would go down the route ill explain below, which may or may not be the best but works for me.Firatly my setupDual core Processor E8500 clocked to 4Ghz4Gb Corsair memoryXFXforce 9800GTX+ 512mb gfx card1tb hdd for fsx320gb hdd for windows 7Asus P5Qc mobointegrated sound cardBefore Bojotes recommendations came out i was a strict follow of NickN's guide apart from using a different defrag program (i use a free version)However since Bojotes mods came out i now do the following;Install FSx using Nicks guide, and setup up display settings to this guide.I only modify my FSX config with bojotes tweaksi dont use nHancerand i use fps limiterI think thats about it.Thats all i do works nice and smooth with CS 757 and PMDG md-11 and Leveld 767 so no complaints here.Obviously this will vary for everyone, but its a start. November 12, 201015 yr Moderator I tend to agree with Corky.Nick's initial setup guide should be mandatory for any FSX user. It get's your system in the best state to run FSX.Bojote's tweaks are things that can possibly improve your system. Every system is different.Once you have your system set up with Nick's guide, then read and understand Bojote's tweaks befored you try them ONE AT A TIME to see if there is any effect. There are a lot of users that blindly apply every tweak at once and usually screw up their system. Take it slowly, use the ones you like and ignore the one's you don't.That's about it.Remember, no matter how many tweaks you apply to a poorly set up system, it will still run poorly.Good luck!Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
November 13, 201015 yr Guys thank all very much for your advices....And what about all the add-ons like REX and GEX and all the other XXX....After I follow Nick's, I then install all the add-ons, then follow Bigote's or....how should I handle this ?
November 13, 201015 yr REX, GEX, UTX, Landclass etc.http://www.simforums...topic31850.htmlWith regards to Bojotes tweaks, I guess it´s a trial and error quest, what suits one system, creates havoc on another!http://forum.avsim.n...ak-compilation/I combined NickN´s instructions with Bojotes tweaks and it squeezed 25% more performance out of my Asus Notebook with the i7 720QM and ATI 5870.But the basics have to be in order first:OS Harddisk 500 Gb Momentus XFSX Harddisk 500 Gb WD Black- but most important, be modest with them sliders!25% AI is OK with me, 5% traffic is fine.Good luck!
