November 12, 201015 yr Moderator Is UT USA mesh and landclass or just landclass? Then if it's landclass is it advisable to also get FS Genesis landclass for USA?Please give me info on this topic. I have searched google trying to find difference between the 2: UT USA and FS Genesis National Landclass ProjectUT USA is neither mesh or a landclass, although it does come with a lanclass for the FSX version, but I cant remember for sure if the FS9 version does, but I dont think so.What UT USA does if provide you with accurate roads/freeways, railways, water bodies such as large/medium/small lakes, streams both dry and wet, coastlines with beaches, and night lighting for the roads and freeways should you decide to use it.What you should do if you want mesh is to buy the FS Genesis mesh or download the free version for the US here on Avsim provided its still available since the hack a while back. Although if you want worldwide coverage you should buy the whole package from them. You could also get the National Landclass Project while your at it or if you fly around the world buy a landclass product that covers the areas in which you fly.UT USA is a must have in my opinion as well as GE Pro if you dont already have it, which will provide some better looking ground textures. Here's a link to the Scenery Solutions website which outlines what it does as well as a link to the FS9 page: http://www.scenerysolutions.com/ http://www.scenerysolutions.com/ut_fs9_usa.html Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 13, 201015 yr Author Apparently it says it is landclass http://www.scenerysolutions.com/. So if i was to get this then i'd have to get some other mesh?
November 13, 201015 yr UT USA does supply some landclass coverage for the US. There are subjective comments that UT USA is better in some areas, and FSG US landclass better in others. Ultimate Terrain forum has provided info and patch that will allow both UT USA and FSG landclass to cooperate. details in the UT USA FS9/FS2004 FAQ here (registration may be required):http://www.simforums.com/forums/ultimate-terrain-for-fs9-fs2004-faq_topic16485.htmlscott s..
